WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

WILL THE WATCH FIT ME?

Yes - one size fits all! The band is just over 8 inches (220 mm) long and can be adjusted down to 6 3/4 inches (172 mm) short by removing links. If you need an extra large band, you can purchase extra links contact us at info@we-wood.co.uk.

 

HOW DOES THE WATCH LOOK ON A SMALL WRIST?

A WeWood looks great on small wrists, ladies may want to look at the Moon Range and Odyssey Range. The Date and Metis have larger faces and the Jupiter and Voyage have Oversized faces.

HOW DO I ADJUST THE DATE BAND TO FIT MY WRIST?

TOOLS ARE NOT PROVIDED WITH OUR WATCHES TO REMOVE LINKS - There is a new push pin link system with our watches which can be removed by most local jewellers, watch repair shops and Timpsons who have 900+ shops in the UK one in most towns. We are happy to remove links on your behalf, please contact us for more information before purchasing.

WHAT IF I AM ALLERGIC TO METAL? 

Although our watches are mainly wood, the clasp of the watches is in metal and is in contact with the skin. If you have an allergic reaction to metal, we cannot guarantee that you will not be affected by the metal clasp. The clasp is made from the best grade medical stainless steel.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT WOOD ALLERGIES?

Our watches are 100% natural/hypoallergenic and do not have dyes, chemicals or other harmful components. Hypoallergenic does not mean anti-allergy. Allergies in fact, are unique for each persons body and can occur from any type of product.

ARE WOODEN WATCHES WATERPROOF?

They are splashproof but not waterproof.

 

CAN I REPLACE THE BATTERY?

Yes, you can replace the battery at any jewellery or watch shop.

HOW MUCH DOES THE WATCH WEIGH?

Light as feather I have heard customers say a lot, depending on the model this can vary but in general 1.5 ounces (42 grams) is a good guide. You may forget you are wearing a watch until someone points out how amazing your WeWood looks ;-)

 

WHAT ARE THE WATCHES MADE OF?

All WeWood watches are made out of wood.  This means that our watches do not have any horrible chemicals or toxins in them so great for someone that has the need to wear a hypoallergenic watch, however please by aware this does not mean anti allergy as allergies are unique to every person and no guarantee can be made that you may not suffer an allergic reaction. ARE ALL YOUR WATCHES IN STOCK?

Yes our watches are in stock and the product page will show this, however in the unlikely event we are out of stock we will take a preorder and dispatch your watch as soon as it comes into stock, of course keeping you informed of a estimated delivery date.

 

DO I GET TO PLANT THE TREE MYSELF?

Unfortunately not.  WeWood is partnered with the American Forests Global releaf effort, which means that when you buy a WeWood watch we will plant a tree through this organisation.  American Forests are currently planting trees in all US states and various countries around the world.  This fantastic non-profit organisation is responsible for protecting and maintaining huge areas of forest, protected habitats and eco systems.  WeWood is immensely proud of our association this amazing organisation.

 

HOW DO I KEEP MY WATCH CLEAN?

For unvarnished wood, mix two tsps each of olive oil and lemon juice and apply a small amount to a soft cotton cloth. Wring the cloth to spread the mixture further into the material and apply to the furniture using wide strokes. This helps distribute the oil evenly. If at any time your watch looks lighter or starts to change in appearance, we recommend that you apply a natural coating such as beeswax, lip balm, butcher block oil or walnut oil. Regular application can help to protect it against damage and improve the durability of the wood and help maintain the moisture balance to prevent drying or cracking.

ARE WEWOOD WATCHES UNISEX?

Yes all of our watches are watches are suitable for any sex and age as you can remove links to fit a smaller size wrist. Generally the Moon range and Odyssey range are purchased by ladies only as they have small faces.

DO YOU POST TO P.O. BOXES?

We do not ship to P.O. Box address’s, no exceptions. All our watches also require a signature when they arrive.
